Regarding the calling of our souls
It is our souls that have our best interests at heart. Ultimately, they know us better than our friends, parents and teachers. As powerful as they are, they are also utterly reliant on our trust – the yearning of our souls cannot be explained within the conventional realms of our logic. To trust in the calling of our souls is to realise our higher dreams…

Regarding the anxious wait for true love
In years to come from now we'll find ourselves still circling the sun. On jagged mountain sides is where we'll keep colliding with what comes. And there we all will find we're still in perfect time for love.

Regarding which came first – the chicken or the egg
When you are faced with the predicament of a chicken and egg scenario, I have learnt that the best way forward is to make the chicken believe there is an egg and make the egg believe there is a chicken. All of a sudden, they will both come at the same time and neither will be the wiser!

Regarding birds and what they teach us
Have you heard of that place where blue crested herons fly beneath the moonlight. Aren’t they such a brave type of bird to do all their hunting at nighttime. I hear they look especially magnificent on the night of a full moon. It’s said that their feathers shimmer like a royal robe.
And how about those swallows. On their migrations they journey thousands of miles, crossing desserts and seas for their food. What a brave type of bird to risk storm and drought, year after year. One could say that swallows are the opposite of crows. I don’t find them particularly appealing. Seldom do crows travel far from their nest. They spend all their energy defending their territory. Oh, and put something dead and rotting in front of them and they will queue in circles for hours instead of venturing too far away.
You know, birds have evolved over the ages without ever having to invent the refrigerator! How remarkable it must be to wake trusting your food will be provided right when you need it.
If you are thinking of journeying far, you will find plenty of birds to offer you inspiration. And if you are hesitant because of your current predicaments then you just have to hear the laugh of the brown owl. Everything up close, they just see as a blur. They can’t be distracted by what lies immediately ahead, so they are always able to reach their vision. And now let’s face it – who wants to be the laughing stock of a brown owl!
